I’ll be perfectly honest, I didn’t think much of the Seahawks receiving core either. But, as I always say, the way to prove a critic wrong is on the field.
They outplayed the much more publicized Broncos receivers (did Eric Decker even play in the game?). They were motivated by some of the comments made by ESPN and specifically Cris Carter. Here is what Doug Baldwin had to say after the Super Bowl courtesy of NESN.
“If those guys would do their jobs they would figure it out — not gonna say any names,” Baldwin said about Carter on FOX Sports Live. “I don’t think they’re any FOX affiliates. If they would also do their jobs further, they would see that we are the most efficient receiving core in the NFL. My man said that we were appetizers. He told me to Google him. I saw that he was a Hall of Famer. I didn’t see any Super Bowl appearances. I would love to show him the Super Bowl ring and if he doesn’t want to come and see it personally, tell him to Google it.”
That is some solid ethering right there. Seahawks have some legendary talkers in their squad.
