When you are the #1 pick in the NFL Draft, the expectations are you will be a franchise changing type of player. That is a lot of hype to live up to, but Clowney says he isn’t concerned about the hype, he will just go out there and play.
“You just have to go out there and play,” Clowney said, via Newsday. “It’s football. It’s not a science test or something I hate … I’ve been playing for a while. It’s not that hard.”
I think he was going for the Rocket Science quote, but I get his point. We will see how hard it is for Clowney going up against NFL tackles and guards as opposed to College ones.
