There was much discussion what went wrong on Teddy Bridgewater’s fumble.
What was Adrian Peterson supposed to do on that play? If he was supposed to run a pattern then Bridgewater simply missed his check down.
If Bridgewater was expecting Peterson to block, then it makes sense why he wouldn’t be looking in Peterson’s direction.

It appears we have our answer and the blame goes squarely on Adrian Peterson.
TJ Ward was Adrian Peterson's guy on final blitz; Peterson was supposed to chip him before releasing.

Bridgewater wasn’t expecting a free man to come because Peterson was supposed to pick him up before he released into the pattern.
If Peterson just attempts to slow him down, it gives Bridgewater the extra second or two he needs to get rid of the ball.
Just a brain freeze from AP.
