The life of an NBA team owner. You buy a team for millions, watch some wins, some losses, and hope the fans don’t email you at 2 a.m. about every single mistake. Well, guess what? Joe Lacob, owner of the Golden State Warriors, just proved he’s human, and a little sassy, after replying to a particularly angry fan’s email following a tough loss.
The story is simple. A fan fired off an email, presumably typing through tears and rage, criticizing the Warriors for their recent performance. Lacob, who normally sits in his owner’s chair sipping fine wine while the rest of us panic over a three-point miss, decided to hit “reply.” And what did he do? He admitted he’s frustrated too. Yes, the man who owns a championship team basically admitted to feeling the heat!

The fan cited the need for a “real second option” on offense and a natural center in the frontcourt.
“You can’t be as frustrated as me,” Lacob said back. “I am working on it. It’s complicated. Style of play. Coaches desires regarding players. League trends. Jimmy [Butler] is not the problem.”
For his part, head coach Steve Kerr downplayed the email leak while speaking with reporters, noting it’s “not a big deal.”
