Audio recordings purportedly showing a guy boasting about his role in Tupac Shakur‘s death have surfaced, and they may prove to be crucial evidence in court.

According to a Las Vegas legal source, Duane “Keefe D” Davis discussed his involvement in Tupac’s murder in multiple taped phone conversations while incarcerated. The purported recordings present a fresh angle in Davis’s trial. Davis has entered a not guilty plea to his role in the September 1996 murder of the rap icon.

According to the source, prosecutors intend to use the tapes as evidence in Davis’ trial, which is scheduled to start on August 10 in Las Vegas.

The insider went on to say that the District Attorney’s office believes Keefe acknowledged his involvement in the crime during a taped jail phone call, claiming it was his “first amendment right” to discuss Tupac.

According to the source, Davis discusses possible film and television projects pertaining to the case while mentioning his role in the murder and detailed information about how it occurred.

Since his arrest in 2023, Davis has openly denied any involvement in the crime. In addition to purportedly confessing to his involvement in two previous police interviews, he had already discussed his involvement in the case in TV interviews and a biography.
